It’s not a happy hour…it’s a YAPPY HOUR!

Join Kansas City Young Professionals, presented by SocialHeart, for our monthly networking happy hour taking place at the brand-new Bar K Dog Bar, located on the western edge of the beautiful Berkley Riverfront Park, under the Heart of America Bridge.  BOTH HUMANS AND PUPS ARE WELCOME. Bringing a pup is not a requirement to attend.

A $15 TICKET IS REQUIRED and will provide admittance to Bar K for one human and one pup (if you so desire), complimentary appetizers, one ticket to the raffle for a one-year Bar K membership (valued at $225), and support of SocialHeart’s featured charity of the month, Warriors Best Friend Foundation.  Additional raffle tickets can be purchased the night of the event, with all proceeds going to Warrior’s Best Friend Foundation.

Bar K is a unique destination combining a thoughtfully designed, fully-staffed dog park with a modern bar, restaurant, and coffeehouse. Bar K brings engaged, community-minded people and their dogs together to share connections with their pups and each other in a joyful and creative space. Check them out at www.barkdogbar.com.

Warrior’s Best Friend Foundation: The attacks of September 11th, 2001, 2.5 million troops have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. For the many men and women returning from multiple tours and long-sustained conflicts, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) have emerged as signature injuries of the newest generation of soldiers. As they face a new battle on the Homefront, Warriors’ Best Friend is bringing the power of the Human-Animal Bond to cities all across the United States to help these soldiers heal. Medical studies prove that service dogs can help speed up a soldier’s recovery, both physically and emotionally. And unlike other treatments, service canines provide a lifetime of assistance and companionship. Carefully vetted rescue canines go through a rigorous training process and get a new lease on life as a partner for a deserving wounded warrior.

SocialHeart is a 100% volunteer managed 501(c)(3) organization with a goal of creating a better community by supporting other local non-profits through hosting unique fundraising events and providing social media, marketing promotions and volunteer support directly to the non-profit.
